Corsica is a French island in the Mediterranean Sea. It is located southeast of the French mainland, west of Italy , and north of the Italian island of Sardinia. Mountains comprise two-thirds of the island, forming a single chain. Before becoming French, Corsica was under the ownership of the Republic of Genoa. It is a very touristic region which explains the existence of a rich touristic litterature as this practical brochure published by Air France in 1947.
